UAVNET is a Civil UAS Knowledge Network, promoting the use of UAS systems in everyday life.
In 2001, UAVNET started as a Thematic Network under European Community Framework Programme Five. It ran for 3 years, with an extension for 1 year.
The last Thematic Workshop was held in Nov 2005.
Instead of stopping work when the funding from EC stopped, it was decided to continue with funding from the involved organizations.
